Step off the perfectly manicured path and into our Grass Bocce Ball League—where the terrain is as much a  part of the game as the toss! Played on the charmingly unpredictable lawns of downtown Minneapolis, this league is equal parts strategy, laughter, and lighthearted adventure. Expect green walls of grass, surprise divots, and plenty of unexpected bounces as you navigate the quirks of the great urban outdoors. Perfect for players who don’t mind a little wobble with their win, this is bocce with character, community, and just the right amount of chaos.

Need to Know

• 18+
• Teams must have at least two players to register.
• All leagues are casual, 4 weeks of play guaranteed, with a 5th week scheduled to account for potential weather cancelations. 
• No games played on government recognized holidays

• James I. Rice Parkway:

  • Parking is available at the Plymouth Pay Parking Lot (1258 W River Pkwy, Minneapolis MN) at $1 per hour. You can pay via the MPLS Parking or Flowbird app (lot number 99327) or by card on-site.
  • Additional on-street parking is available along W River Pkwy and nearby downtown areas.
  • The park is also accessible by bike and scooter, with ample places to lock up your ride.
  • The closest bus stop is at Washington Ave & 10th Ave N, with routes 14R/N/D, and 7 making stops.
  • The Light Rail stop at Target Field (Green Line) is about a 25-minute walk from the park.

   

  Sculpture Garden:
